Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 259,039 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Washington and they represented 3.67% of the total population of Washington in 2014. King County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (131,081), followed by Pierce County (55,861), and Snohomish County (21,494). On the other hand, Garfield County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (2), followed by Wahkiakum County (15), and Columbia County (24).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Pierce County had the highest percentage (6.71%), followed by King County (6.28%), and Thurston County (2.95%).
