Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 1,250,814 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in Maine and they represented 94.18% of the total population of Maine in 2012. Cumberland County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (259,549), followed by York County (189,506), and Penobscot County (144,915). On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (16,602), followed by Franklin County (29,541), and Washington County (29,585).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Lincoln County had the highest percentage (96.58%), followed by Somerset County (96.42%), and Franklin County (96.39%).
