Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 1,279,650 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in Maine and they represented 92.11% of the total population of Maine in 2022. Cumberland County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (274,170), followed by York County (201,859), and Penobscot County (143,452). On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (16,360), followed by Washington County (28,127), and Franklin County (29,034).
