United States Non-Hispanic White alone Population By State in 2022

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 196,225,966 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in the United States and they represented 58.88% of the total US population in 2022.

California had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (13,554,876), followed by Texas (11,939,611), and Florida (11,642,694). On the other hand, District of Columbia had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (252,150) followed by Hawaii (306,591), and Alaska (431,312).

When it comes to the percentage of each state's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Maine had the highest percentage (92.20%), followed by Vermont (91.94%), and West Virginia (91.16%).
