United States Non-Hispanic White alone Population By State in 2023

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 195,432,584 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in the United States and they represented 58.35% of the total US population in 2023.

California had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (13,361,684), followed by Texas (12,088,544), and Florida (11,742,859). On the other hand, District of Columbia had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (255,639) followed by Hawaii (308,848), and Alaska (432,828).

When it comes to the percentage of each state's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Maine had the highest percentage (91.81%), followed by Vermont (91.45%), and West Virginia (90.93%).
