Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 6,584,019 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 61.54% of the total population of North Carolina in 2022. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (684,722), followed by Mecklenburg County (513,971), and Guilford County (259,170). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (1,788), followed by Hyde County (2,751), and Washington County (4,748).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (93.14%), followed by Yancey County (91.73%), and Clay County (91.59%).
