Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2013, there were 6,348,736 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 64.48% of the total population of North Carolina in 2013. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (598,444), followed by Mecklenburg County (486,785), and Guilford County (267,714). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,179), followed by Hyde County (3,437), and Washington County (5,707).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Clay County had the highest percentage (94.25%), followed by Madison County (94.19%), and Haywood County (93.56%).
