Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2020, there were 6,506,628 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 62.27% of the total population of North Carolina in 2020. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (669,176), followed by Mecklenburg County (510,577), and Guilford County (262,359). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (1,754), followed by Hyde County (2,738), and Washington County (4,783).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (93.65%), followed by Clay County (92.43%), and Yancey County (92.22%).
