Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, there were 6,544,996 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 61.95% of the total population of North Carolina in 2021. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (677,931), followed by Mecklenburg County (510,893), and Guilford County (260,808). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (1,820), followed by Hyde County (2,752), and Washington County (4,794).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (93.3%), followed by Clay County (92.28%), and Yancey County (91.93%).
