Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, there were 6,490,968 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 61.43% of the total population of North Carolina in 2021. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (670,508), followed by Mecklenburg County (503,039), and Guilford County (257,331). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (1,884), followed by Hyde County (2,832), and Washington County (4,934).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (92.52%), followed by Clay County (92.3%), and Mitchell County (91.81%).
