Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 6,496,445 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 63.22% of the total population of North Carolina in 2017. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (646,312), followed by Mecklenburg County (507,221), and Guilford County (267,267). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,089), followed by Hyde County (3,152), and Washington County (5,333).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (94.05%), followed by Clay County (93.46%), and Haywood County (92.71%).
