Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2010, there were 6,255,856 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 65.34% of the total population of North Carolina in 2010. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (564,839), followed by Mecklenburg County (467,732), and Guilford County (266,162). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,353), followed by Hyde County (3,453), and Washington County (5,940).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Clay County had the highest percentage (95.17%), followed by Madison County (95.1%), and Mitchell County (94.17%).
