Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 706,037 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in South Dakota and they represented 83.10% of the total population of South Dakota in 2014. Minnehaha County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (152,570), followed by Pennington County (86,873), and Lincoln County (48,539). On the other hand, Buffalo County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (315), followed by Oglala Lakota County (547), and Ziebach County (671).
