Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 113,038 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.14% of the total population of North Carolina in 2014. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (52,317), followed by Cumberland County (4,712), and Hoke County (4,348). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (7), followed by Hyde County (21), and Alleghany County (21).
