Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 110,652 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.03% of the total population of North Carolina in 2022. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (45,995), followed by Cumberland County (4,976), and Scotland County (4,203). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (10), followed by Hyde County (24), and Washington County (34).
