Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 111,183 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.04% of the total population of North Carolina in 2022. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (46,526), followed by Cumberland County (4,951), and Scotland County (4,221). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (10), followed by Hyde County (22), and Washington County (31).
