Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 351,464 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 7.96% of the total population of Kentucky in 2014. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (161,403), followed by Fayette County (45,629), and Christian County (15,123). On the other hand, Robertson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (6), followed by Wolfe County (20), and Owsley County (21).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Fulton County had the highest percentage (23.63%), followed by Jefferson County (21.18%), and Christian County (20.6%).
