Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 363,953 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 8.15% of the total population of Kentucky in 2018. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (167,200), followed by Fayette County (48,430), and Christian County (15,091). On the other hand, Robertson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (14), followed by Wolfe County (22), and Owsley County (25).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Fulton County had the highest percentage (23.39%), followed by Jefferson County (21.75%), and Christian County (21.24%).
