Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 357,175 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 8.04% of the total population of Kentucky in 2016. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (164,634), followed by Fayette County (46,885), and Christian County (15,136).
