In 2002, Djibouti had the highest unemployment rate (28.35%), followed by Algeria (25.9%), and then Eswatini (25.36%). Benin had the lowest unemployment rate (0.69%) in Africa in 2002.
The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
