In 2011, Djibouti had the highest unemployment rate (26.97%), followed by Eswatini (25.81%), and then South Africa (21.42%). Niger had the lowest unemployment rate (0.32%) in Africa in 2011.
The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
