In 2018, Djibouti had the highest unemployment rate (26.15%), followed by South Africa (24.22%), and then Eswatini (22.76%). Niger had the lowest unemployment rate (0.54%) in Africa in 2018.
The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
