In 1992, Djibouti had the highest unemployment rate (29.68%), followed by Algeria (24.38%), and then Eswatini (21.82%). Chad had the lowest unemployment rate (0.66%) in Africa in 1992.
The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
