In 2014, Djibouti had the highest unemployment rate (26.51%), followed by Eswatini (23.97%), and then South Africa (22.61%). Niger had the lowest unemployment rate (0.52%) in Africa in 2014.
The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
