In 2005, Djibouti had the highest unemployment rate (27.95%), followed by Eswatini (27.04%), and then Namibia (22.33%). Benin had the lowest unemployment rate (0.83%) in Africa in 2005.
The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
