Youth Unemployment Rate of African Countries in 2005

In 2005, South Africa had the highest total youth unemployment rate (55.77%), followed by Eswatini (55.19%), and then Libya (47.48%). Benin had the lowest total youth unemployment rate (1.19%) in Africa in 2005.

The World Bank defines youth unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment".
