Youth Unemployment Rate of African Countries in 1998

In 1998, Djibouti had the highest total youth unemployment rate (55.39%), followed by Eswatini (47.05%), and then Libya (45.18%). Benin had the lowest total youth unemployment rate (1.17%) in Africa in 1998.
The World Bank defines youth unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment".
