Youth Unemployment Rate of African Countries in 2008

In 2008, Eswatini had the highest total youth unemployment rate (55.33%), followed by Libya (47.06%), and then South Africa (44.81%). Rwanda had the lowest total youth unemployment rate (1.32%) in Africa in 2008.

The World Bank defines youth unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment".
