Youth Unemployment Rate of African Countries in 2001

In 2001, Djibouti had the highest total youth unemployment rate (57.38%), followed by Eswatini (50.9%), and then Algeria (46.87%). Benin had the lowest total youth unemployment rate (0.91%) in Africa in 2001.

The World Bank defines youth unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment".
