Youth Unemployment Rate of African Countries in 1994

In 1994, Lesotho had the highest total youth unemployment rate (51.84%), followed by South Africa (51.13%), and then Algeria (45.45%). Rwanda had the lowest total youth unemployment rate (0.6%) in Africa in 1994.

The World Bank defines youth unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment".
