Unemployment Rate of African Countries in 2006

In 2006, Lesotho had the highest unemployment rate (29.69%), followed by South Africa (28.34%), and then Eswatini (27.85%). Benin had the lowest unemployment rate (0.81%) in Africa in 2006.
The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
