Unemployment Rate of African Countries in 2009

In 2009, Djibouti had the highest unemployment rate (27.40%), followed by Eswatini (27.07%), and then Namibia (22.29%). Chad had the lowest unemployment rate (0.96%) in Africa in 2009.

The World Bank defines unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment".
