Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 8,154,040 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in Illinois and they represented 63.37% of the total population of Illinois in 2011. Cook County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (2,281,048), followed by DuPage County (646,326), and Lake County (455,645). On the other hand, Pulaski County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (3,798), followed by Pope County (4,053), and Hardin County (4,119).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Calhoun County had the highest percentage (98.1%), followed by Shelby County (97.96%), and Scott County (97.84%).
