According to data from the World Bank, in 1980, Libya had the highest GDP per Capita (US$ 13823.08), followed by Gabon (US$ 5713.21), and South Africa (US$ 3034.66).

On the other hand, Uganda had the lowest GDP per capita (US$ 93.69), followed by Somalia (US$ 102.26), and Equatorial Guinea (US$ 179.26).
